Arctic Genomics

My work focuses on genome adaptation in Arctic and alpine regions around the world. I am curious how large scale genome structure influences adaptation to polar environments (e.g. inversions, polyploidy, repetitive elements). My PhD is on the effects of warming on Arctic plants' distributions and gene regulation .
