Arctic Plant Genomics

I study plant adaptations in Arctic and alpine environments around the world. As an NSERC postdoctoral fellow, I'm exploring how large scale genome structure influences adaptation to polar environments (e.g. inversions, polyploidy, repetitive elements, centromere positions). My PhD was on the effects of climate change on Arctic plants' distributions and gene regulation .
