Arctic Plant Genomics

My work focuses on plant adaptations to Arctic and alpine environments around the world. I am curious how large scale genome structure influences adaptation to polar environments (e.g. inversions, polyploidy, repetitive elements, centromere positions). My PhD is on the effects of warming on Arctic plants' distributions and gene regulation .
